Our Cedar Suet Logs are made of Solid Northern White Cedar. There may be splits & cracks, but this is normal. The bark has been removed and the logs roughened to help the birds cling. These are recycled logs - made from cut-offs from a furniture factory! Four holes in this log fit any suet plugs on the market, as well as peanut butter or spreadable suet.

The cedar logs may have cracks when you get them. If they don’t, you can expect them to crack as they dry. The cracking stops at the core and will not split the log in half. This adds a rustic appearance to the logs. Make the cracks functional! Fill them with Bark Butter®, peanut butter, leftover suet, or nuts.
