Our Cedar Bark Butter® Logs are made of Solid Northern White Cedar. There may be splits & cracks, but this is normal, and cracks can be filled with more delicious Bark Butter®! All bark has been removed and the logs roughened to make it easier for birds to grip.

Recycled logs - made from cut-offs from a furniture factory! Six holes in this log for Bark Butter, peanut butter, or spreadable suet.

The cedar logs may have cracks when you get them. If they don’t, you can expect them to crack as they dry. The cracking stops at the core and will not split the log in half. This adds a rustic appearance to the logs. Make the cracks functional! Fill them with bark butter, peanut butter, leftover suet, or nuts.
